Hello from Alexa and Krelle (Signe)!
We are in green group, so we had dancing first today after a breakfast of yogurt and toast! We are performing The Greatest Showman and we worked on two dances today; Come Alive and Tightrope. Alexa loves Tightrope so far because it’s very lyrical and slow! Krelle also love Tightrope because it’s relaxing and sharp in movement. After dance, we had lunch and amazing focaccia with toppings like cheese and chicken!
Some girls worked on bracelet making from string and knots! We taught some others and will probably be seeing some colorful accessories in the next couple days.
Green group then went to drama and worked on some very silly scenes, for example wax statues and a family of elderly Romanian acrobats along with some dancers in the street! That’s just one scene by the way… We had a short break and just took the time to talk to friends and practice some lines and lyrics.
Then we head over to singing and broke into voice groups (soprano, alto, tenor) to build some beautiful harmonies, that we are going to hear tomorrow, because they need to process overnight as Mariya says. Before dinner we performed our Summer Camp dance from Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy. Alexa’s hair came out in the middle of the dance and went right back up before our group popped back to dance! Finally, we ate rice and curry for dinner which was so good! During dinner Krelle’s water bottle went missing and she had to run around the cabin looking for it while trying to hear announcements.
Anyway, we had some free time and while Alexa was playing guitar, Krelle dyed her hair purple after the shower and it came out so beautiful. (Sorry, not sorry Mom and Dad!)
